filling …
@Aptitude

filling the bath with water allows for the natural movement in the bath if it placed on a wooden floor , whitch will be around 4 – 8 mm movement as wood shrinks and expands , this being the reason i would never tile straight off the top edge of a bath , and most bath edges are not level these days as were the cast iron baths of the day! ! , better remove the bath , baton the wall allowing space for an expansion strip between tile and bath, looks better than sealant last longer too !

i hate stuff like …
i hate stuff like this. tiling is a PROFESSION!

They started …
They started without the bath…which was weird…then weirder the bath magically appears!

what a mess!
what a mess!

Can i just say to …
Can i just say to people please do not watch this video and think this is the best way to do things… the amount of jobs i’ve been asked to fix where people think they can do it themselves..

When you place the …
When you place the tile on the wall, do you want to push really hard, or maybe tap them with a rubber mallot.. goin to do a wall, and want to be sure that they dont fall off my wall later on from not being pushed hard enough on ??

@woodywoods12345 …
@woodywoods12345 The bath should be securely fitted, if so there will be only minor movement also stand in the bath whilst tiling. Not easy tiling round a bath when its full of water, mind I’m sure you’ve finished your by now.

@nicko198718 i was …
@nicko198718 i was thinking all those things watching it too. Lol the way he way useing the trowel right at first there i liked to died laughing

@woodywoods12345 But wouldn’t it just create an equal problem when you empty it by moving up? How did you get on with your bathroom as I’m considering doing mine too?

thank you
thank you

U guys should have …
U guys should have used a bigger level + you just get some t shape spacers you guys arn’t even tarvering the tiles meaning pushing up and down to get proper coveridge also if u don’t no how to tile use a straght edge to check the tile face is straght instead of using u finger as newbies won’t be able to tell the first time u guys are messy you clean as you tile or dont leave blobs everywhere it’l save you so much time. u wash twice last wash use a cap of metho and hot water msg me as im a tiler

nar am just going …
nar am just going to watch how to create the perfect cup of coffee and get sum1 else in to do it haha

use a small, …
use a small, bristled dish brush to clean adhesive out of the joints prior to grouting. do this after u finish tiling each wall, easier on u, and neater.

Your video is …
Your video is wonderful also it has a lot of good sense of humour thank u very much

Why didnt you fill …
Why didnt you fill the bath with water first? i thought that the bath expands/moves downwards when the bath is full, hence why you should tile whilst the bath is full, otherwise it leaves a gap? im about to start on my bathroom now, wish me luck! *gulp*

Just a thought too. …
Just a thought too… if you are doing loads of tiling, with lots of boxes of tiles of the same colour, mix n match from all the various boxes, don’t just use one box at a time, as some boxes can be a shade different than others

@officerjo75 you …
@officerjo75 you can’t “clean” it other than to keep it clean and applying it once and right the first time. my dad is doing this… it’s taking him 3 day and he’s only got 2 tiles up ’cause he “saw” someone do it 20 years ago, while i’m on youtube trying to learn before i waste 3 days… sigh……

@kinstar i just …
@kinstar i just learned how to tile a bathroom. the bottom of tile onto the wall needs THIN-SET MORTAR. there’s Gray or White at Home Depot. I think it’s called VERSABOND for $14 or $16, respectively. once it’s dried 24 hours later, apply the GROUT, and there are MANY colors of your choice. This video has white grout.

this video is …
this video is useful but would suggest that if you have never tiled before you also watch part one – How to tile a bathroom wall- tools and preparation

@kinstar YES!, …
@kinstar YES!, always consult a recommended tiler.. Or a local specialist tile ware house..if unsure.
The adhesive is of utmost importance, adhesives vary from different tile types and areas. Grout should be only be used after tiling has been left to dry (24hrs) reccomended adhesives are the BAL adhesives and grouts.

is the stuff you …
is the stuff you use for grouting different to the stuff you use to stick the tiles to the walls ?. just want to make sure

How do you “clean …
How do you “clean the mortar out” of the tiles before applying grout?? Good video, however, I wish there was just a little more detail in positioning of tile and measurements.
