Tiling – How To Prepare Block Walls

By · July 1, 2011 · Filed in How to Tile

I need to know the method of placing tiles on a block wall any kind of block can be used as an example.

When you buy the adhesive for the tiles it will tell you what preparation is needed. Or just go into the store and read the packet instructions. At most it will be a thin layer of basecoat plaster, but probably just apply adhesive to a clean dry reasonably flat surface and place tiles.

None, why tile when they sell whole 4 x 8 sheets of plastic tiles that look like real Ceramic tiles? You never need to clean the groat or have to worry about leaks. Even stone looking walls now come in plastic.

1, Make sure the surface is as smoooth as you can get it.(i.e remove any loose material)

2, use a watered down P.V.A mix, and apply to wall with paintbrush

3, allow to dry…then tile..!!!
