Kitchen Tiles – How To Get Design Inspirations

By · July 1, 2011 · Filed in Tile Design Ideas

Our kitchen is a bit dated so we’re going to start over, take off the counter tops, new sink, flooring, tile backsplash, etc. I have no idea where to start at all & it’s giving me a headache. The sites I’ve found so far are way over the top design ideas like custom painted mural type stuff or homes that are super modern or extravagant and none of those look like my house. Do you know of any good sites to get some ideas for the average homeowner? We’re going for more modern but warm, crown molding, white trim on doors, with some warmth in the wall colors. I just want something that isn’t going to scream 2010 tile idea in 10 years, you know? Thanks very much :-)

Try getting some sample tiles from tile shops and take them into your kitchen so it gives you a better idea of what is going to suit your kitchen. I’m a designer for Howdens and this comes up many times with customers. With the samples you can then match worktops and paint.
Hope this helps

Mediterranean tiles have warm colours and patterns. Have a look at our extensive range of majolica tiles hand painted by Tunisian craftsmen. Perhaps, the tile CORDOBA MAT 20x30cm may be of interest to you.
